Are you a homeschool parent that uses ABeka books?

What do you think of the curriculum? We are considering it for next year. I’m not really interested in anyone’s opinion of homeschooling, especially if it’s obnoxious. Thanks.

I’ve been using A Beka Book and A Beka Academy. I’ve used all their books for grades 6-12 and the DVD academy for grades 8 and 9. A Beka is very thorough, especially in Grammar and Math. If you can afford the Dvds at roughly $1000 a year it’s a great investment because the teachers explain everything. It’s just like being in a classroom. I would not have known what to do with the higher grades of math without the DVDs.
