Books Typesetting

NEED HELP WITH ADOBE INDESIGN..ANYONE KNOW THE PROGRAM WELL?
So I am typesetting a 300 page book that has lots of footnotes in it. For example:
Printing Corp., which was located at 1313 Industrial Boulevard, several blocks from President Kennedy’s parade route.8 Oswald favorably impressed the plant superintendent who checked his prior job references, one of which was Jaggars-Chiles-Stovall, the firm where Oswald had done photography work from October 1962 to April 1963.9 The following report was written by Padgett’s plant superintendent on the reverse side of Oswald’s job application: “Bob Stovall does not recommend this man. He was released because of his record as a troublemaker–Has Communistic tendencies.” .10 Oswald received
I want to make all of the footnotes (.10, .8 etc.) in bold. There’s a ton of them. Is there an easier way to do this rather than going through them all which will probably take me like a month to do??
2 options: you can set up a character style sheet for the bold text using the Character Styles palette, that cuts down a number of steps as you then only need to select the text you want to make bold and one click on the style sheet will apply the formatting.
The other option is to use Find and Replace, click on more options and include formatting such as plain face in search to bold face in replace.
You would need to enter the text you’re searching for as .1 followed by a space and replace with the same. This would effectively search and replace with same text but make it bold in the process. You’d then repeat this for .2, .3, .4 and so on.
This would only be an option if the footnotes start from 1 on each page/section, ie if there are multiples of each number in the document.
